Habs greats worry about team behaviour

The team must always come first, retired stars Jean Beliveau, Yvan Cournoyer and Henri Richard said Thursday as they weighed in on the embarrassing arrests this week of Hab rookie Ryan O'Byrne and veteran forward Tom Kostopoulos.

"They are young kids and they forget, they don't think about what the Montreal Canadiens mean .. they think about having a little fun," said Henri Richard, a former Habs captain and 11-time Stanley Cup winner as a player.

"I feel sorry for them, but they're going to learn," Richard said.

O'Byrne and Kostopoulos were arrested at about 3 a.m. Monday outside Whiskey Park, a Tampa, Fla., nightclub following the team's annual rookie dinner.

Marin Freeholders LP, which built 139,000 square feet of office and flex space in the Industrial Marinship District of north Sausalito in the 1960s and 1970s, wants to sell it as a portfolio, according to Orion Partners' Jerry Suyderhoud, who is marketing the property with part-owner John Greene of R.H. Greene.

The 11 buildings sit on seven parcels totaling 5.42 acres along Colma Street between Bridgeway and Gate Five Road. The complex is totally full with 80 tenants, including Sausalito Mini Storage and Pacific Laser.

The owners are taking bids on the portfolio and may sell the parcels individually, according to Mr.

WSB cancels July Fourth Parade

After nearly 50 years, WSB-TV is discontinuing its annual "Salute 2 America" July 4 parade. The family-friendly festival of floats, marching bands, balloons, TV stars and military personnel annually wound its way through the streets of downtown for 47 years.

Instead, the Atlanta ABC network affiliate plans to expand its metro area coverage on the patriotic holiday this year to include more geographically diverse July 4 celebrations.

"When the parade began, Atlanta was a very small town and now our coverage goals are very different," explained WSB-TV general manager Bill Hoffman in an interview with the AJC on Thursday. "We're trying to broaden our coverage over the July Fourth holiday."

Added Channel 2 program director Art Rogers via a statement: "As a native Atlantan, I've personally witnessed the incredible growth of the metro area.

The Listening Cure

Audrey Reid, a 36-year-old from Dundee, Scotland, says medication slowed her thinking and rendered her powerless against bullying by her voices. They made sexually demeaning comments and, when she tried to make coffee, convinced her she was brewing poison.

But their effect is not always destructive, and HVN encourages its members to form relationships with them. Reid says four of her seven voices calm her down during stressful situations, help her assess people she meets, and remind her what to buy at the grocery store. One — which she regards as that of herself as a child — even helped her successfully confront another, which she says mimics a man who molested her when she was 8 years old. "I'm not a confrontational person, so I needed her there," she says, noting that while the abuser's voice still occasionally criticizes her, for the most part "he's been put in his place."

Voice hearers must navigate a society that often views them as freaks and potential criminals: Bullimore says he's been spat upon, called a "psycho" and had his face slashed with a broken vase by people who know of his condition.

Exclusive Kim Kardashian Interview

We sell designer stuff and pretty much my whole wardrobe is from there. My life and my world is fashion. My sisters and I are going to start our own fashion label soon and we model and walk in all the runway shows in LA, New York and Miami.

So is the new fashion line definitely going to go ahead then? It's definitely going to happen but we're just meeting with manufacturers at the minute so it's still in the early stages. We want to start with jeans. Like a denim line. And then we want to do some really cute dresses and stuff that we would wear.

You did some modelling at LA Fashion Week too- what was that like? We me and my sisters walked in the Christian Audigier show together. All three of us did it so it was so much fun. Last year was my first show for Christian and I did it by myself.

Hansen: Iowa conservationist is cool to global warming theories

Ptolemy, the zany Greek who said the Earth was the center of the universe, had them fooled for 1,500 years. Then Copernicus came along and said hold on a minute.

I doubt the politicians were handing out anti-Ptolemy literature back then - the church wouldn't allow it - but sometimes the scientific consensus does turn out to be wrong.

That's why I refuse to ridicule the five Iowa legislators who were touting a book last week that said human activity has nothing to do with global warming.
